I’m so thankful you found my little cozy corner of cyberspace. Hey, can we be DIY buddies?
So, this is my story. In 2018, we made a really important decision and set a goal for financial freedom. We gave a lot thought to how we would execute it. But it was after being inspired by Joanna Gaines and the Magnolia Story we went all in. The fixer upper dream was born. We had no experience at renovation, but were sorta handy. We found Youtube University and learned as we worked. After almost quitting, we flipped our first home in 6 months, staged it and sold it a little over a month after listing it! It was one of the biggest leaps of faith we had ever taken. It was also one of the biggest demonstrations of what we were capable.
With our faith in God, a financial freedom vision and 14 years of studying the growth mindset we moved into an apartment in Orlando. While our sons attended college and took some time to search for our next home and develop a plan for our next move. There we learned life lessons that forever transformed our perspective. On this blog I share How to Develop a Growth Mindset, Entrepreneur tips, Blog Growth strategies, lessons of gratitude, patience, finding true purpose and learning to grow where you are planted.

Interior Design
I started reluctantly decorating our tiny rental home. There were so many challenges: the small space, lack of natural light, dark kitchen, carpet (yuck!), low ceilings and the list went on. Even still, I realized I truly L-O-V-E interior design. I learned it didn’t matter where I was or what I had to work with, I already had everything I needed. I could make our small rental apartment home a place we loved to come home to. (Queue the entry way sharpie walls and stenciled backsplash!)
Grow where you’re planted and Bloom with Grace!
I learned how to make a small space bigger with strategic curtain placements and painted wall treatments. My inspiration was unleashed! and a boring apartment entry way became modern and functional too. Modern decor and design easily dressed up our small space and a painted stencil backsplash made our rental kitchen look like a million bucks. I learned to love our little home and found a bunch of life hacks and tips that made organization fun.

As a Telecommunications engineer for more than 20 years and 4 years management, I love all the technical details of stuff: design, tools, using best practices and especially troubleshooting.
