Growth is how we express who we are and achieve our potential in life. What does growth look like for most people?
Self care – Love – Intentionality
We all have a million things on our to-do lists, from taking care of our families to going after big professional goals. But when was the last time you took some time for yourself? Self-care is essential for growth, both in life and in business. That’s why it’s so important to prioritize self-care and make sure that you’re taking the necessary steps to make sure you are living your best life. I believe self-care has replaced traditional self-help but it doesn’t just include mindset renewal and intellectual growth, but it’s all encompassing: mind-body and spirit.
The Benefits of Self Care
Self-care can take many forms, from getting enough sleep to exercising regularly or eating healthy meals. No matter how you decide to practice self-care, the benefits are clear—it helps keep us energized, focused, and inspired. It also makes us more productive in both our personal and professional lives. When we take the time to invest in ourselves, we can approach each day with a renewed sense of purpose.
Self care is about more than just physical well-being; it’s also about emotional health. Taking regular breaks throughout the day or spending time with friends can help us stay connected with ourselves and our emotions so that we can better understand how we’re feeling and why. This understanding allows us to take action if needed, rather than letting things spiral out of control without any sort of intervention.
I’ve learned that when we are our authentic self, we prioritize our self care. It’s when we let the demands of life pull us out of sync with who we are supposed to be that our mental health and other areas start to suffer. Growth happens through self care and when we interrupt the daily grind and monotony and realize there is so much more to life we become more intentional and grow. Life stops becoming a list of things to do and it becomes experiences you love!
Growth Through Self Care
Self care is not a one-time thing; it’s an ongoing process that requires commitment and dedication in order for it to be effective. When we focus on self-care as an essential part of our lives, it becomes easier to recognize unhealthy patterns or behaviors that may be holding us back from reaching our full potential. We begin to see where growth may be needed—in relationships, career paths, or even within ourselves—and then have the courage and insight to take actionable steps towards achieving those goals. Where our attention goes, that area grows! When you make your self-care a priority you’ll see a transformation of the quality of your life.
I prioritized my self-care and mental health in November of 2022 and it empowered me to make major changes in my life. I quit my full-time job and started following my passion of being an entrepreneur and helping people live intentional, meaningful lives through my my blog, social media, digital products and coaching. My goal is to have passive income so I can spend even more time doing the things I love.
This is just one example of how self care can transform your life!

Here are some things you can do, that don’t cost anything, to prioritize your self care:
- start meditating every morning
- journal your thoughts
- throughout the day focus on the present moment
- watch the sunset
- read 1 hour per day
Conclusion
So at the end of the day, self-care is about prioritizing yourself so that you can live your life with intentionality and joy—not just for yourself but for others too! Investing in yourself through consistent self-care will empower you to grow personally and professionally while also allowing you to lead a fulfilling life filled with meaning and purpose! Now get out there—you deserve it!
